How To Lay Ceramic Tile

When it comes to you wanting to know how to lay ceramic tiles in your new kitchen or bathroom then there are certain things that one needs to remember. 

First, you need to get the right equipment together to ensure that the work goes smoothly. 

Here is a list of everything you need to have on hand for installing ceramic tile:

Along with the ceramic tiles, you are going to need:

 a measuring tape, a square, caulk line, hammer, tile nippers and a level.  In addition, you will also need a wet tile saw or a 4" die grinder that comes with a dry cut diamond blade on it.  A notched trowel (1/4" is ideal for small tiles but a 1/2" trowel is ideal for larger ones (16×16 or above). 

As well as all the above equipment, you will need safety goggles that will protect your eyes from any chips and dust from the tiles as being cut.  Moreover, you will need a good set of gloves (latex ones are ideal) for when you are doing the grouting.  Finally, you also need the grout, a bucket and a sponge. 

As mentioned only when you have all the right equipment together can you start work on laying the tiles.
